You can try using products which is for sensitive skin. Try products which contain teatree or aloe vera content. Check the contents which constitute the products, e lesser the content the better. Use rose water as toner, it’s easilly available in Guardian Pharmacy. Then use aloe vera gel as moisturiser, it can reduce facial oiliness and pimples. It can also prevent pimple scars. Aloe Vera Gel is a great oil free moisturiser. I’m using the brand “Glowing Beauty” aloe Vera gel. It’s available in Mustafa. Lastly apply acne cream, you can try himalayas brand. Try investing in oral supplements. neem from himalayas brand, it is also available in mustafa. This is only my reccommended suggestion. Tell me whether it is effective but it does works for me but results not guaranteed.Hope it works for you. PS: Avoid scrubbing because it’ll aggravate your condition. Good Lucksmile

Hi Pimply, you may want to attend Saturday’s Acne Movie Forum, as the 2nd talk is by a Dermatologist and is about what can be done to reduce terrors of pimples, including scars. It will be very informative and I’m sure you’ll learn lots from it.

Hi Tightskin,

There are now a number of equipments that can perform fractional rejuvenation of acne scars. Multiple sessions of treatment are needed to achieve improvement. The degree of improvement is quite variable, i think in the range of 30-50%.

Hi, you may want to try subcision. A small needle is used to break the scars underneath the skin to elevate the depressed scars. The skin is bruised for few days. Fairly easy to do and not too expensive.

Good news, more laser systems based on fractional photothermolysis principle (besided the old Fraxel) are now available, such as the Palomar Lux 1540, Mosaic, etc, this will definitely bring down the price of treatment.

Are you talking about the pitting scars or just the redness? The pitting scars would be very difficult to treat. A dermatologist is trained in treating acne and the scarring. Beware of a lot of websites and advertisements claiming to cure acne. A dermatologist is your best bet, and you could end up wasting a lot of money otherwise. There are different ways to treat acne scars depending on the type of scar and the type of patient’s skin, etc. Dermabrasion and chemical peels and laser treatments are some ways it is treated.Retin-A is a prescription gel cream made of retinoic acid that comes from Vitamin A. It is the topical form of Accutane, but Accutane (taken orally) has some very serious side-effects. Retin-a makes your skin peel faster and thus lessens the likelihood of your pores getting clogged. Also, by increasing the dead cells being removed from your skin, it helps get rid of the redness left after acne and it has been proven to get rid of wrinkles.Initially after you use retin-a, your skin will start peeling a lot and may get red and you may get more acne, but then later, you don’t notice the peeling much and your skin looks smoother and the redness goes away as your skin gets used to it and it begins to feel a lot smoother. You have to avoid exposure to the sun when using it, as it makes your skin more sun sensitive.
